Export of Opium from the Persian Gulf
to the Far East.
I am directed to refer to the correspondence ending with the Government of India's telegram No. 2065/1276-0,
dated the 11th July, 1923, ani to forward herewith a draft
King's Régulation relating to the control of the traffic in
opium between the Persian Gulf and the Far East.
2. This draft has, to save time, been prepared by the
Government of India and a copy of it has been forwarded to
the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, with the request
to telegraph to you any comments that he may have to offer,
and in the absence of any material modification to take
steps for its immediate introduction under Section 56(4) of
the Persian Coast and Islands Order-in-Council.
